Fox CE 20 ga. SN200664

Post by Kim Manning »

I recently acquired the reference gun I am quite sure that the gun has been restored, but I don't know by whom. As a restored gun it is in excellent condition and has been used very little. This is only my second Fox. My firearms insurance premium will be due soon and I am uncertain as to what value to provide the agent Anybody .willing to give me an idea as to how much it should be insured for? I appreciate any help that could be provided.

Providing a few pictures and measurements of said gun would help on determining a value.

I would put down $20,000. Replacing that would be very difficult given the scarcity of CE 20's on the market every year.

If you have to provide a value prior to a loss, you have the wrong insurance company. Comments?

This insurance agent has required me to list every gun I own, valued at 10 K or more, on a separate schedule. They advertise in the Parker Pages. I will try to put up some pictures of the gun and its measurements. Thank you to all who helped.

If your insurance carrier needs a valuation >$10K on the CE20, I doubt it will accept estimates of value from random guys on the internet or even on this site. You’ll probably need a written valuation from a recognized high end SxS dealer on its letterhead and based on a physical, hands on inspection of the Fox. Frank
