Still new to the Fox world, and assisting my Dad in his move to assisted living, last night he handed me a rough cut blank for a butt stock. This piece of circassian walnut is about 3-1/2 feet high & maybe 4â€
Walnut stock blank
Steve,
It is just about impossible to estimate the value of a blank without seeing it. Color, figure, faults and grain layout all come into play when determining the grade or value of a blank. You may have to send the piece to a dealer for evaluation. What you describe should have value, but determining how much is a first person sort of thing.
