Re: Fox Booth at Hausmann’s

Thanks for posting that, Jeff. And a better pair cannot be found to attend to activities at the Fox booth.

Question: the additional table for members to sell their guns will be for Fox guns only? Or, other, non Fox guns? Just curious.

Thanks, and eagerly looking forward to next week.

Re: An XE 16 Ga. Collaboration by Jim Demunck & Walter Koulach

I sent a note to Jim DeMunck telling him about this XE12 that he helped upgrade from a Sterlingworth to a very nicely done XE. He sent me a note back and had this to say about the gun: "I remember that one. I will look through my patterns and see if I have that one in there. I may have just use...

Re: Safety too tight

I have an early 12 gauge Fox that has the push rod removed so that it did not push the safety slide back to the SAFE position when the opening lever was pushed to the right to open the action and drop the barrels. The safety slide stayed in the forward/front shooting position And the safety slide it...

Re: Headed to the Platte River in Nebraska with two Supers

The crew comes through! Looks like it was worth the trip. Is the limit on Canadas 3 out in that flyway? Any luck with the ducks? We were shooting Lessors and the limit is 5. As you know the temperaures in the west have been way above normal, not the best set up for waterfowl. We did ok with the gee...

Re: Remington "Sportsman" 12 ga.

I thought I would join the conversation and show you a 20 gauge Remington Sportsman that belonged to my grandfather. I am blessed to be the current owner and I remember him well back in the day using the gun. Mr. Jacob Gregorius from Dansville, NY where I grew up. Below are pictures of the gun along...

Re: Identifying A.H. Fox

You have a real nice condition early A 12 gauge. That's a good one to have.

Maybe some time if you get the urge, take a black felt tip marker and make that white liner on the recoil pad BLACK. I think it would look better. You can always change it back if you'd like.

Re: First 2025 Woodcock outing

Roger - that cover behind you in the top picture looks pretty ugly and that's probably where the birds were. Many hunters wouldn't even try to get through that stuff. Might not even send their dogs. It sure looks nasty but as you found out, that's where the birds were. Definitely explains a whipped ...
