OK, I was hesitant to ask, but can't find a straight answer anywhere. Do I need to be concerned about firing steel shot in my old Sterlingworth, where lead was intended when the barrels were made? Would one of the other alternatives be an option such as bismuth, etc. I don't intend to shot a lot of ...

I notice that many posters 'blank out' the last two digits of their serial numbers.

Can someone explain why? Curious minds want to know....

I have just inherited my dad's Fox 12 ga....what a beautiful gun. It has a serial number 649xx and has an 'H' on the bottom of the barrel also.
