Thanks for posting the pictures. So, was the previous owner shooting 20 ga. slugs?

Now, that was an interesting addition for sure. Have you removed the sight to see what's under it and how big the hole is?

Jeff, one can only assume that is what they were doing. I guess it is possible that they were far better shots than the rest of us and needed the extra challenge of “sighting” the birds!🤣

Tom, I have removed it and other than a little oil and gunk, there is a small little hole for the screw not much larger than 1/16”. Should very easily disappear.
