Not much news on how the Southern ''WAS', so lets help make the ''North East'' Shoot at
Hausmann's Hidden Hollow the Best Shoot in the North East this year.

Only my opinion so take it for what it is worth, the 2026 Southern event was one of the best I attended in the last 10 years. I came home with a gun that I couldn't live without, weather was exceptional, and many fine guns to see. I really don't know what could have been better, other than my shooting:(
Oh yes, I was able to coerce a friend into helping me take professional photos of 2 NID Sousa Grades together, don't reckon I'll ever put 2 together again, but 1 never knows.
Next on the list is Ernie's shoot and then Big Mike's, need to defend Team Ithaca's victories of 2025:)

Tom, Kevin and I will be manning the booth at Hausmann’s and as always, Daryl will be running the Bo Whoop events.harry gietler wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2026 7:46 pm Not much news on how the Southern ''WAS', so lets help make the ''North East'' Shoot at

As I tried to communicate in a different thread, this year’s Southern was outstanding. There were more quality guns than I’ve seen in a long time. Fortunately for me, a very nice Super Fox followed me home and will be put to good use in October. Also, the tents were bustling and the shooters moved through the clays course at a nice pace. It was a great event. I hope more AHFCA members will decide to attend in the future. The ones that did attend had a good time.
Shoot vintage firearms, relax, and have fun.

I’ll be there at least one day. I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody. I do way more BS’ing than shooting.
I might have a few things to sell too.

Re: Hausmann's 2026
I post this every year but if you are attending the shoot at Hausmann's please stop by the BoWhoop table and introduce yourself. You can't miss the BoWhoop setup.
Also, I'll be posting the rules and specifics for the event here as we get a little closer to the event.

Roger,
The older I get the more the BS'ing is the reason I Iove these events. I can shoot anytime but seeing old friends once or twice a year is what makes me go. See you there.

Re: Hausmann's 2026
I have to take this opportunity to remind everyone that as the Southern is about the Parker/Smith challenge, Ernie Hausmann's is about the BoWhoop events and the Fox shotgun brought to you by the AHFCA and administered by yours truly.
There will Fox shotguns there for anyone to try and see for themselves why we love them as you love your favorite vintage gun. There will be shotguns from 28-32" and in 12,16 and 20gauges.
At least stop by and say hello

Re: Hausmann's 2026
Well I'm all packed up and driving down tomorrow morning with my good friend Mark Kircher, ETA 9:30am. Weather looks great, shorts packed! I have three guns for display at the Fox Booth, early C 12/28 a recent Bass pro buy, 16 ga XE 16ga 30" head down style, and D Special Monte Carlo live bird gun 12ga 30". Thirteen of my duck club buddies will also be in attendance. We park along the tree line and set up a tent, stop by and say hello, all day gun show and tell. Plan to shoot mostly 20's on the course as Haussman's is a bird hunters set up. I will be shooting my Lefever in the 8ga event. I also plan to shoot all three B0-Woop events, not that any of my scores will matter but it supports the AHFCA and is BIG FUN!! I will do my best at the 5 stand trying to make the Fox/Lefever challenge team. Hope to come home with a B 12ga that Romac listed on the Fox Forum. See ya all tomorrow.

Re: Hausmann's 2026
Five of us got together today for some warm up shooting at nearby Rock Mountain. Afterwards I trailered my shooting chart from its RM home base to Hidden Hollow and looked at guns already tabled by Barnett, Robin Hollow and Steve Cobb. Many other vendors were driving in as I left for home at about 2:30. This casual warm up shooting on the day before the Northeast SxS has become kind of a tradition and it was nice to meet up with my friends. I wanted to keep the recoil light so I shot most of the course with my Browning 725 410 gauge although I did 2 stations with my Fox SBT gun with its XF choke and she did well.
