Is there a table here, or on the members side, that lists the actual barrel weights and numbers per gauge and length?
And what would be the wall thickness of the 4 barrel weights?
For example, I have recently picked up an early AE, like the one pictured on the home page, in 12b with 30in barrels single trigger.
The barrels weigh 4 pounds.
The gun weighs 7lb 10oz.
Is this a #1 or #2 barrel?
I'd like to look up the same data for my other Fox's.
Thanks

Re: Barrel number and weight
The tables are reproduced in McIntosh's book. I have photocopies of the tables that Roe provided to Mike. I could scan them and post them if there is an interest. But, I don't have any of the blue print drawings they refer to for dimensions, etc. These are not the weights of finished barrels. There could have been a lot or very little striking of the tubes to achieve the finished weight and balance desired in the gun as it was constructed. I've seen a production card that is marked on the back "strike 5 oz off barrels, hollow out stock."
IMHO this barrel weight number business is much ado about very little.

Re: Barrel number and weight
Most appreciative Dave.
I only have 3 fox's so far, as a newcomer to the cult, and none of them have the barrel number marked.
