I have an unuseable gun, serial #116499 with a blown out right barrel. My assumption is that the barrel is not replaceable. So I am looking for a similar vintage gun, mine has a 30in.
barrel but that is not an essential requirement. My gun was a hand me down from my father. My hunting days are behind me but I would like to find a similar gun, in reasonable quality condition, that I can hand down to a grandson.

Don,
You might want to consider finding another set of barrels and having them fitted to your existing action. If I were your son, I would appreciate having at least part of my grandfather's gun as opposed to a new gun with no family history. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a set of 12ga Sterlingworth barrels or a parts gun from which to scrounge the barrels. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

You might also post your wants in the "Want to Buy" subforum. This subforum is for paper collectors and may not be read by those with gun parts.

Marcus: Thank you. totally agree that preserving part of original gun is very desirable. Is the Fox Forum the best and most likely spot to discover a useable barrel? Other choices? Don
