Brass Cases

Does anyone use brass cases and reload there own shotshells for the old fox shotguns?
How can i get started,what will i need & where to buy it and what is the start up cost? ....would like to load Bismith for Duck and #2 for Coyote &

There are a number of shooters there that load brass and can give you some pointers.

I know that in more recent decades, all brass shells have been loaded with smokeless powders, but back in the days these guns were being made, several of the double gun manufacturers, when they gave suggested load data in their catalogues and on their hang tags, carried the admonition like this from the 1903 Baltimore Arms Co. catalogue -- "Do not load any smokeless or nitro powder in brass shells." Or, this early A.H. Fox Gun Co. hang tag --

I have some old Winchester brass cases and have never even considered reloading them, but I understand the use of brass with black powder due to static spark. Was there a specific reason for not using smokeless? Undoubtedly there would be a pressure difference but does the smokeless have some sort of reaction to the brass material? Just curious.
