Fox model A

Post by Greg Reed »

I have a fox model A. The serial number is 11xxx A. I was wondering if it had ejectors would it be marked AE?

Not until the late Savage years did they sometimes stamp the E on the ejector guns.

Agree totally with Researcher that the "E" designation on auto ejector equipped Fox'es would likely be encountered only on later Savage era guns.

Your early style A grade would only be marked "A" on the barrel flats and water table if it had standard extractors or auto ejectors. You're not likely to see it marked "AE".

Hope this helps.
