Researcher

The 5 guns you believe the butt plates are original/correct...what gauges are they?

What is the spacing of the screws?

12, 20, 12, 12, 20.

The screw hole spacing on all five are a strong 3" maybe 3 1/64" or 3 1/32"

I see the A.H. Fox repro butt plates CSMC offers have hole spacing of 3 23/32" and 2 15/16" ?!?

In the case of the A-Grade 12-guage originally in question here, it doesn't have an original A.H. Fox Gun Co. stock anyway so its plugs and hole spacing don't really count.

Thanks Researcher. The smaller spaced plate I bought from CSMC/Galazan is definitely a very strong 2 15/16"
(I measured it as a strong 3" ) hole spacing. When I was fitting the new plate after the existing holes were plugged (including the bigun) there was just a smidge of a difference in the plugged hole spacing vs the CSMC plate spacing.

One of our other members installed the larger sized plate on one of his guns and I believe this plate had
3 3/4" hole spacing.

BTW. For bending the new plate to fit the stock contour...three 5 minute soaks in some hot tap water....a few more minutes for messaging....and the repop fit nicely. Very easy job.
