Surprised to see this gun does not have any stock/receiver interfacing surfaces different than A, B, or C grade--no rebates. I thought it was "common' for X grade and higher to have rebates.

Is this gun an original X grade or an upgrade??

I have just received a new #3 Silvers pad. The pad has an lumpy and slightly bowed mounting surface. I've been told it is common practice to remove the lumps by placing a sheet of sandpaper on a flat and slowly sanding them off. But before I sand the lumps how do I remove the slight bow? I plan to replace a highly degraded (no brand name markings) recoil pad on my 1909 C grade Fox.

Sorry for the misleading title. I have a 1909 CE that has what seems to be
the wrong safety slide design.

My intent was to have the proper slide design in hand and then find one for
my gun.
