Bore Dia

Hello,
Can someone post the original bore diameters for Fox 12 ga guns. Are they the same no matter what the barell weight number is? #1 being the heaviest and # 4 being the lightest?

Thank you,

Fritz

Re: 32" sterlingworths??

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how many 32 inch 16 ga guns were made? Of the known guns is there a breakdown by grade and ejector/extractor?

Thank you for your help

Re: Round Knob SW 20 gauge ejector

Hello, would it be too much trouble to take the wood off the forend and photograph how the recoil lug is fit to the forend iron? I had always thought it was welded in place, but your photo is the first I have seen that is clear enough to show that at least from the top it is not. I am making a beave...

Re: DE 1909

Marshfelllow, Your DE is simply one of the most beautiful shotguns I have ever seen. That early turn of the century engraving on the Fox and LC Smith (pardon me) guns is really easy to look at. I saw one for sale 5 or 6 years ago and not really paying that much attention to it.... well it sold befor...

Re: Louis H.Eisenlohr Gun

Eightbore,

I went through the archives of the Julia Auctions and the listing had been saved. It was sold in the fall auction of 2007. Pretty nice photos.

Researcher
thanks for the DGJ note. I have ordered that back issue.

Re: Louis H.Eisenlohr Gun

Marshfellow (great sign in name by the way), I do not have the refrenced DGJ so thank you for posting the photos. I checked their page and they do have the back issue for sale. The CSE #35 looks like it is really an extraordinary Fox. Have you ever seen it....Does it ever go on display? That early t...

Re: Louis H.Eisenlohr Gun

I have seen the photos (3) in the Mcintosh book. One of which is badly out of focus and all are from the same general angle. I was looking for something with a little more resolution and different perspectives. It looks to be a very beautiful gun.I will look in the DGJ volume you listed. Thank you f...
