That's a very nice CE grade Fox shotgun. I am sure other members that can give you a value estimate will post up.

Crazy4Bassin,
As stated it is a A.H. Fox CE (C Grade w/Ejectors) gun. Appears to be in nice condition but can’t tell if it is original or refinished at some point in time. Could you post some pics of the stock, forend and sides of the frame? Also, what length of barrels does it have? If interested in more info feel free to PM me. You can also order a letter from Savage Arms that will provide you with information on how it left factory and date it was shipped. Looks like you inherited a nice family heirloom! Congrats!

Assuming what I can see from the trigger guard that it is a straight stock since it is a long tang trigger guard. Does it have a hard rubber butt plate or a soft rubber pad on the end of the stock?

As Foxnut has recommended, we could use more details as to the present configuration. Higher resolution pictures would help also.

It looks to have a beavertail fore end. That would be a little unusual for that vintage Fox but not impossible. That's where a Fox factory letter would help. Or become a member of the AHFCA and with that, you get a free look up of a Fox graded shotgun. That would give the details of the gun when it was built, when it was shipped and possibly to who(m).

From the pictures provided, it does look like it was refinished, but again, that's where the better pictures would help.

Very nice gun you have and thanks for your post.

Jolly

Dues paying members of the A.H. Fox Collectors Association have access to the Members Only section of the web site. The organization has photocopies of the production cards for the graded Ansley H. Fox guns. In the Members Only section of the forum you can order a jpeg of the production card. Dues paying member get one free look up per year and additional look ups are $25.

Thanks for all the great information. It is greatly appreciated. I will upload some better images as requested as far as the questions asked, It has 28 inch barrels and a soft rubber recoil pad. How do I get the information from Savage?

I hope these images are better. The pictures I took were too large to post it I think I found a happy medium.
