There are still a few in Virginia. Sophie had fun today. PS. My little 20 gauge Sterly ejector that was restocked. 5 lb 13 ounces of fun to shoot.

Jim, she gets out. She has a bit of hitch in her giddyup now. Has a bad carpal in the left front. I can hunt her about 45 minutes or so then I have to put her up or she will really had problems the next day. I used to hunt them together a bit, but Gracie figured out Sophie was finding more birds then her and decided she wanted to act like a long distance flusher and that wasn't good for her, or Sophie or me. I pretty much now limit them to exercising together. If I was in an area with good a good grouse population I'd alternate the two. However, since we have almost zero grouse I'm better to just put Sophie down because she will certainly find more birds.Jim Cloninger wrote:Great pictures, Tom. How is Gracie doing? Does she come along on your hunts with Sophie or is she retired?
