In my search for a Super Fox, I ran across this gun #8627 12ga C grade with 32" barrels #2 F/F it is listed as a Heavy Fowler. I have never heard of a Heavy Fowler, is there such a thing?

Certainly there is a Heavy Fowler in the eyes and ideas of someone ordering a gun of more than average weight. Your gun is pre Super Fox and is what a big duck gun is all about. To whom was your gun sent?

same chokes as my 1911 full and full 12 -
i saw that a while ago- I am far from the expert on Fox specials
but- i think it falls under the classification of marketing

This gun has numerous brethren in other Foxes described on the Internet under the same ilk; "light game gun"; "heavy duck/pigeon gun"; "upland wand", etc. All desperate attempts to invent ephemeral versions of guns that never were. As Eric Sevaried once said in rejecting sources attributing false accolades, "Rest assured that we know that they know that we know who they are."

Thanks for the warning. I will not advertise my B Grade Philadelphia Arms Company gun as "Ansley Fox's Personal Pigeon Gun", even though it is. At least I think it is.

Now I'm confused Bill. I thought my 32" B grade PAC gun was Ansley's pigeon gun.

No, Daryl, Ansley was not big on 32" barrels. Check the order for his D grade Parker. It is 30", just like his B Grade PAC. We have to get our B Grades together for pictures and shooting.
