Well I bought a 1910 A grade and it has over 3" of pitch seems excessive as I normally shoot 2" on my O/U
I realize doubles usually need a longer LOP but does the pitch usually work out the same. The fox does have more DAH. I shoot it well but it kicks like a mule. :-)
Thanks elton

Pitch on a stock is a angle. Is your "3" " the drop at heel ? I'm waiting to find one of those guns to shoulder and see how they feel. Seems like a lot of the time they have shorter barrels.

You should fabricate a wedge shaped spacer to go under the recoil pad to bring the pitch to your preferred 2". I prefer an inch to 1 1/2 inches.

As I understand pitch. It can be measured in two ways. Degrees and inches. My fox is 6.5 degrees or if you set butt on the floor and slide up to a wall. Measure how far the barrels are away from the wall at 26" then it measures 3.5 ". This would be perfect for a large chested person which Im not. I have found with my O/U that 2" is about perfect. Being Im new to the SS world. Just didnt know if the pitch would be different. LOP is longer for sure. Ive added about 1/2 " to my normal LOP and it feels really good. Now I just need to figure out the pitch. I had a blast yesterday on a clay course. I was breaking birds that Ive had problems with in the past. These fox's are so instinitive. It was really fun to shoot but my shoulder is really sore today even with light target 1 oz loads.
