Any idea on how many 28" guns in 20 ga with ejectors were made?
Serial is 264xxx
What's a fair price for a clean example of said gun?

I think that is unknown. However I defer to researcher of course. If gun is as it left the factory and has some decent case color I think real world price is circa $2,100 to $2,400. Dealers will charge more of course. If the gun is a 95% gun in original condition (collector grade I'll call it), I think its value is over $4,000 and perhaps higher. If it had 30 or 32 inch barrels in mint condition it's quite a bit higher. Anything beyond original factory condition the the gun's value drops by a fair amount. Philly Guns in the same condition bring more then Savage made guns. My 2 cents anyway.

Until someone gets into the records at Savage and counts them up, we will never know. Generally speaking from my quarter century of recording the Sterlingworths I observe, it appears that less then 10% of Sterlingworths had ejectors. As far as barrel lengths go in Sterlingworth 20-gauge guns, it appears that 28-inch was the most common length, with-26 inch running a close second. I've only recorded two each with 30- and 32-inch barrels, but I believe there are quite a few more 30-inch than 32-inch.

I just bought a 30 inch 12ga Sterlingworth with ejectors. If you would like the serial number for your data base just let me know.

Dave, were those 20-ga. 30" and 32" Sterlingworths that you recorded ejector guns?

Since this thread started a couple more 30-inch 20-gauge Fox-Sterlingworths have come to light, so I now have four 30" and two 32" recorded, none with ejectors.

Thanks Dave.
I have a 20-ga. 30" Sterlingworth Ejector. A good friend had one, but its set of barrels blew up and now has had a set of NOS 30" 16-ga. barrels (30" 20-ga. weren't available) fitted to his gun and another AHFCA member has told me he used to own one. That makes a total of just three 30" 20-ga. Sterlingworth Ejectors--now down to two that I know of in the past 15 years of seeking them out. I have handled one 32" 20-ga. Sterlingworth extractor gun, probably the same gun as many of you have, but have never encountered a 32" 20-ga. Sterlingworth Ejector. Has anyone here actually encountered a 32" 20-ga. Sterlingworth Ejector?

I can only dream. But I'd settle for an extractor gun if one became available.

Haven't ever seen one. I own a 30 inch Sterlingworth 16 gauge ejector gun. Searched for that gun for 5 years before I found it. I have encountered a fair amount of 30" extractor 16 gauges over the years but 20's with long barrels are really hard to find.

What would a CE 20, round knob, SST, great colors, killer wood, 3" chambers, 32" barrels be worth? Say the gun is in excellent condition with no flaws.

I've owned one original 20 b/30-inch SW Ejector gun, also had the #2 stamped barrels from another one (astray from a two barrel set), and while at the Southern SxS a few months ago I saw a very nice custom upgrade done on a 20 b/30-inch SW Ejector that was probably a second year gun judging from its s/n. That makes three. The Southern gun had what were probably 2-weight barrels with full tapered chokes miking F & F and with original chambers, cones, bores etc. Stocked in California English. She really pulled at me .....
