What are the known most desirable Foxes out there that the whereabouts are unknown?

Has there ever been a list put together?

Now that Bo Woop is accounted for are there any others?

It would be nice to see some more of the Seattle area Joshua Green guns come to the surface.

My personal holy grail is 31736 a 30" 2 3/4" CE/HE 9lbs 2oz, 14 x 1 7/8"x 2 7/8" consigned to EK Tryon, 1/2 pistol 3/16 cast off at heel, 3/8" cast off at toe, standard pitch, CE Engraving with ducks instead of birds, straight rib. Handsome finders fee paid!! Hopefully it will turn up while I am still on the planet.

Sometimes the whereabouts become know at least for a day or two. And if you’re not ready to jump they go back in hiding.

The post on Ty Cobb's gun reminded me, I was once offered a 16-gauge owned by Carl Hubbell. As described, it was a Sterlingworth, special ordered with a factory straight stock, factory beavertail, ejectors, single Kautzky, 15” LOP…. all as documented in a factory letter. Price was right up there and I'd just bought another high end Fox, so I passed. Actually at the time I barely knew who Hubbell was because I never followed baseball. I probably should have asked more questions at that time; maybe it was similar to the Becker & Gough upgraded Sterly made up for John Lauterbach? See the Double Gun Journal, Volume 4 Issue 4. I wonder where the Hubbell gun is now?

I want to see the GAM L Grade Single again. Another gun that Tony sold.

When we visited Puglisi's in Duluth, MN this past July, John Puglisi told us he had recently sold the one they had advertised in SSM. He went on to say that there were actually two G-grades produced. One has to wonder whether these were the real McCoys or not

Capt Paul Curtis's -#28096 C/HE with quite a few options and personalized specs would love to see her....or then again I would love to just have the missing piece the order card for my C/HE "F.R-----" ?? LOL

Also, that which appears to have been the same receiver did not have any Rudolph Kornbrath engraving on the barrels when it was pictured in Don Hardin's Fox article in Gun Digest? Hmmm.....

What is the earliest serial number known? Has anyone ever seen #1 or #2 or any from the first ten? What kind of guns are those? Also, beyond guns, how about the missing records? It would be great to find and have the complete records available for members.

A.H. Fox Gun Co. 12-gauge double serial number 2 is an A-Grade, pictured on page 92 of McIntosh's book. Serial number 8 is a B-Grade with Krupp "Heavy Weight" barrels that both Murphy and I looked at and fondled at a Maryland Arms Collectors Association show one of the first years it was at the Timonium Fair Grounds. Neither of us bought it!!

There seems to be a good selection of graded 12-gauge guns around from serial number 2 to serial number 3000. Then serial numbers seem to begin again in the 7000 range. Just saw serial number 7144 at Las Vegas. First gun I've seen with Krupp "Light Weight" barrels.
