400477. single barrel trap gun. does anyone know the year of production, and any other info on this gun? thanks.

1932. More info can be had from the production cards if you are a member on the members forum or a letter from Mr. Callahan.

You can order a letter on the gun from the Savage Historian for $40.

Send him a check and the serial number.
As far as value goes we'd need to see several good pictures of the gun to even begin to guess. Market value depends on condition, grade, condition, originality, condition, options and most of all condition.

At least the grade of the gun would be stamped on the flat of the action body when disassembled. Join the AHFCA and request a free email of provenance.
