Help needed at the Northeast SxS

Those of you who were at the Northeast SxS last year will remember that Becky helped us full time with the Bo-Whoop Long Range shoot and the W C Letterman Cup. Becky had planned to be with us again this year but just last week she advised that she has a new job and will not be able to be at Hidden Hollow on either day.

This year's shooting agenda will be even fuller than last year with the Fox-Parker Challenge also taking place at the Northeast. Net, we're going to be short staffed. We've tried to get full-time help on short notice but so far that hasn't worked out - and at this late date it probably will not.

Therefore we're putting out this call for volunteers to help us on Friday and Saturday with the following: signing up shooters and collecting their money, getting the shooters in queue, and helping to pull targets on call using remote switches (shooter calls "pull" and you press the switch). An hour or two from several people will help greatly! The actual target scoring will be done by a second person, one of the Fox Directors or a NSCA certified designee. Please see Craig, Paul, Steve or Frank while at Hidden Hollow and we'll coordinate with the time you can volunteer. Thanks in advance.

Thank you Kevin. And I hear ya Tom, believe me it's not a matter of a few extra bucks. Actually I started looking for a new referee about 2 weeks ago when I got some advance info from Becky. I've now checked with both of the nearby clubs that run NSCA registered tournaments and have qualified refs. Mountain Mike - owner of one of them - had the name of someone who lives out near Hidden Hollow and his call to her was pending several days when we spoke yesterday. I promised Mike several Klondike bars (his favorite snack) if he helps me sign up another good ref for both days but so far he hasn't come through.

Thank you Kevin, Dave and Bill. I also heard separately from Craig who said his gang from western NY is coming and some of them will enlist to help. Mike emailed and has two possibilities for a dedicated full-time assistant which would be preferable for continuity when us regular Fox guys are out shooting ourselves. Indications are, this will be a banner year for attendance at the Northeast SxS, and we'll have very busy days with the Fox-Parker qualifications and shoot-off, and our Bo-Whoop and W C Letterman shooting. Right now I'm working out the details and will touch base with our volunteers on Friday morning at Hidden Hollow. Thank you all again.
