There is no possible way to accurately answer that question. I've seen quite a few over the last fifty years. Probably more that went back to the factory for a second set of barrels then started life with two.

How long are the barrels. on the Sterlingworth George?

Waterman: I have two sets. One has 32" & 26" barrels, Full & Full and IC & Mod That apparently was a Christmas gift as the leg of mutton two barrel case is engraved " W P FARTHING X-MAS 1926" on a brass oval plate. The research letter states that it was shipped with both sets of barrels. The other & most recent to me has 32" & 25" (probably cut) Full & Full and IC & Mod. The first set has seen little use while the second has seen heavy use (the checkering is showing a pattern only. I am having Jim Kelly re=cut the checkering & tighten the action) I have just ordered a research letter on that one.

Hello Donnie & Ithaca: Yes, the first set was a pretty special Christmas gift. You never know what might lie in your average sporting goods store. Everything on the rack was black guns & Brownings. You have to ask if they have any old stuff & wait for the answer. I can't tell you how many rare guns I have come acroll by asking that question. Another store came up with a 20 bore Greener at @ 4 pounds and a 1911 Colt Army originally issued to Nathan Bedford Forrest the third who was shot down over Germany in WW11. The jury is out on the second set but you never know what the research letter might reveal
