Fox Collectors

I was out to Pennsylvania over last week and was chasing "Ole Ruff"around "My Favorite Haunts". We had 39 flushes in three days and a total of 3 birds killed. I was fortunate enough to get two birds because as others have stated the trees were hanging on to their leaves this fall. Good shots were hard to come by!!! The gun in the pics is a Sterlingworth Skeet and Upland 16 gauge with 28" bbls. Paul

Way to go Mr. Paul --- wish I was there. However, I can cruse the hills & fields anymore. I would be interested in buying a fan from old mr. Ruff if anyone has one for sale. It would be great to study when I engrave another grouse on someones shotgun. Ken (kenhurst@suddenlink.net)

Fox, 16 gauge, straight hand, double triggers, uncut stock with added pad for an LOP of about 15".....how does it get ANY better? (sigh/drool).

DAVE, thank you guy !! I really do appreciate that , it is really kind of you to do so ! The last one I shot was destroyed by a pet dog & I'm not able to get out and hunt anymore. It will be a big help when doing my next grouse.

Hey Paul, nice pics and some great memories to be sure. I was deer hunting in western Canada last week and flushed quite a few grouse on the way to and from deer stands. The locals call them "chickens" because it's so easy to walk the roads and pot a few for dinner. Most just flush and take the easy course down the trail, not much twisting and turning behind trees and conifers like our eastern birds do. Once again I ran into an older gentleman with a well worn Stevens 410 single barrel. He goes out to get a bird or two when needed, "just in time" shopping! Once I get a Booner out there I'll take my straight grip C Fox and bring up my bird average big time! Frank

TERC ---- received those two fans/tails and am most appreciative ! One is up on the wall where I can look at & the other one is going to be mounted to a swivel so that I can move it to different positions to suit the grouse I will be trying to portray. Thanks again ol boy, ken
