Can somebody please discuss what internal parts wear to cause the lever to move left? Can this wear be slowed or stopped after being repaired?

Some guns come from factory with the top lever nearly centered and some with lever far to the right.Slamming the action closed will cause a lot of wear and how the parts were fitted can cause lever to move to left. Of course proper lube on the rotary bolt and barrel extension helps prevent wear.Shooting the gun a lot will cause lever to move. Bobby

Is it the bolt that wears the most? Will replacing it move the lever to the right?

I would say bolt slot in barrel extension usually wears the most.I have replaced an old rotary bolt with a new old stock one and lever was more to the left and sometimes a new bolt will move lever to right.The bolt cut in barrel extension can be welded higher and then filed to get position of top lever you want.Worn hinge pin and or slot in barrel lug and gun being off face will move lever to left.
