Curious if there is a breakout of how many ejector guns were made in each gauge. Also, whether that breakout might be by barrel length. Probably not, but just seems like locating 20 or 16 gauge ejector guns is a tougher nut to crack then the regular extractor gun. Thanks

Totally unscientific, but from my tables of observed specimens, I have 11.8 % of the smooth hinge-pin 12-gauges with ejectors. I did not include the Fox-Sterlingworth Wildfowls in this tabulation. For 16-gauges I have 15.8 % with ejectors and for 20-gauge 8.9 %. Over the last thirty years, I'd venture to gues that a sizeable portion of the smallbore Sterlingworth ejectors have been used in custom guns and downright fraudulant upgrades.

So all of that said, isn't an ejector gun potentially worth more than the 33% premium stated in the guides? I have been looking for a philly 12ga sterlingworth ejector (I have a 16 ejector) and I can't find one anywhere except a few that are hacked in some way... cut or upgraded. The SW is a dime a dozen compared to the ejector SW. I saw one from CT shotgun that they want nearly $3k for. Too rich for me. An AE is much easier to find.

Mark, what barrel length are you looking for in a 12 gauge ejector Sterlingworth? A 30" may be in the realm of reason. An ejector gun in another barrel length may be harder to find. Are you looking for a safe queen or a gun to hunt with or customize?
