I'm finally starting to attempt a restocking of my Fox AE. I found a suitable piece of wood ......
Now I need to find some money and a suitable stock maker.

VA, no it is an unusual piece of american walnut. I was looking for a piece of tiger strip and was shone this and for the price I took it. At first I thought it was a little to fancy but it kind of grew on me.

That grain is really going to lay out nicely through the wrist. How does it look on the other side?

TB, When I get it I will let you know. I was told it is identical. Know I need to stress over what knid of grip to have. Most A grade's have the knob or half-pistol but I'm leaning more towards the english but also like the full pistol. Decisions, decisions.
Can I get a partial fitting, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a true fitting but wouldn't mind someone getting me to the point that I can pull the gun up and be looking down the barrels.

I think fittings are kind of like being pregnant.....either your fitted or not

If you are in the Central states Michael Murphy out of Augusta, Kansas is a great fitter and the last time I checked he only charged a couple hundred dollars which in comparison to what you have already spent and will spend to finish out your stock is pretty much chump change.
As far as stocks go I'm pretty much a traditionalist and prefer the round knob with the gentle (1/2) pistol grip that some folks incorrectly describe as a "Prince of Wales" grip.
