The Easter Bunny arrived at my house today and dropped off a crummy old Super Fox, not bad for an old duck gun!

14 1/4", 2 5/8" DAH, 1 5/8" DAC, Consignee Earl Gear Co. "Full Pistol Grip make grip shorter than regular-Full Military comb,select nice dark curly stock Chamber for 3" shell make patterns of both barrels send with gun plug stock at plate Load stock 4oz",
32" bbls IM/F A silver pad was added and the LOP is now 14 3/4
It came from a private collection.
The checkering is same LPI as a C grade of that era, I believe 20LPI, most standard SF's are 18LPI I believe.
Weights 8lbs 8oz, a lightweight for a SF.
Bores .739/.739 chokes .040/.045 both chokes 4 1/2" long
The wood has lots of figure but it is not picked up well in photo.

WOW!!!!!!!! Craig you just don't find them any nicer than that!
I want to know how the Easter Bunny got that baby to fit in the Easter basket?
The Closest thing to an HE in my Easter basket will be a HErshey bar. Paul

Very, very nice Craig.

About the only thing any bunny leaves me is these OO Buckshot size pellets in the yard.

That bunny sure is nice to you tho.

Thanks everyone for the interest. I think it is a very nice example with honest wearand I am lucky to own it. I will bring it along to the HH shoot and the Vintagers for anyone interested. These Super Fox guns are very interesting for me since I love my duck hunting. I have almost completed editing the tally on 12 ga Super Foxes and will be publishing it for members soon. The total number of Super Foxes in the records database is 944. That total is way more than MM estimated in his book. I believe most collectors felt the total production was around 250 12ga guns. That total shows that the SF was a decent competitor for the LC Smith Wildfowl grades. Of the 944, 22 were made as CE's, 11 were made as XE's, 4 were made as DE's and one FE. I think any Fox collector will be interested in the variety of special guns made. The good news is there are many of these guns still waiting to be discovered!
