Correct pad

I am looking at a Utica Sterly 20 Gauge deluxe with Phylly features. It has a bad pad that needs replacement. What would this gun have come with for a pad? Thanks, Steve Hodges

Be careful on the Galazan pad. I ordered two of them and they were so large, they could not be ground to fit without getting into the "slotted" part pf the toe and heel.Silvers wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 7:46 am Steve, if it were me I wouldn't waste my time looking for a vintage Jostam 6-slot. Almost impossible to find in NOS/unfitted condition and still soft, and even then it can never be fitted to pass as original and especially so if the butt on that gun had its original concave surface sanded straight for the pad that's currently on it. Just a suggestion ..... a "No Shoc" pad is ~ period correct and its modern Galazan repro is relatively inexpensive, readily available and it can be faux aged to look good. frank
The pad I suggested to Steve is the Galazan repro "No Shoc" pad which is solid (no vent holes) and is properly sized for a Fox smallbore or regular 12-gauge gun. However Brad's post seems to refer to the Galazan repro Hawkins heart vent pad which are giganto sized. frankMacklew2 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 3:11 pmBe careful on the Galazan pad.
