Need to have trigger pulls adjusted,who can you fellows suggest,i live in New Jersey.Triggers are very heavy.

JT,Before you send it off, make sure that your trigger plate is sitting in the action as it should. If the screw underneath the trigger guard is too tight and flexes the trigger plate, it will make the triggers feel like 10 pounders. FRED

A friend of mine had an early 12 bore SW that had some soft(oil soaked) wood in the inlet that is underneath the rear of the trigger plate. If you remove the trigger guard you can see the screw head. The threaded end of this screw is seen in the top tang, right behind the safety. Since the wood was compressed underneath the rear of the trigger plate, to get the screw snug, it had to actually end up being in an overtightened position which slightly changed the position of the trigger plate. What I'm saying here is that , in short, misalignment of one part caused misalignment of other parts on down the line and resulted in some internal binding that caused the unusually heavy trigger pulls. The guy didn't want to restock, so I made a small, solid spacer piece out of teflon to take up the slack and realign the screw length to the correct distance. That 1/8th" made all the difference in the triggers. He's not a frequent shooter and I suspect that the fix will last the rest of his years with the gun. If it were mine, there is no doubt that I would restock it and make it right.
