I believe this is the first ad mentioning a trap tournament win using a Fox SBT that I've seen

From my many evenings spent sitting in the Library of Congress thumbing through bound volumes of old sporting magazines it appears that after The Great War, generally the Godshalks only bought A.H. Fox ads in the September, October and November issues of the various magazines. Field & Stream November 1921 --

They did jump the gun with the famous full back cover ad on the August 1923 National Sportsman --

How many A.H. Fox members had (or have) trap lines. What did you trap? I had a trap line when I was in high school. Checked my traps every morning before school. Caught mostly Muskrats and a few Mink. I skinned them and then stretched the fur with home made cedar roofing shingles cut to the right size. At the end of the season I took my catch to the fur buyer in the industrial section of Minneapolis, MN. They treated me like a professional trapper and I got top dollar for my furs.

Thumbing through those 1922 issues of Hunter - Trader - Trapper Drew gave us the link to I see an ad on August page 107 and September page 77 for the Western Cartridge Co. Super-X load in the Western FIELD shell. Those may well be the earliest ads for the Super-X load. So, Western was advertising the Super-X load a year before A.H. Fox Gun Co. was advertising the Super-Fox.
