Yes very light on the oil.
I gave it a primer/ field test.
Worked great.
Pheasant come mid October is what he will be trying it on.

Hello Paul,
I'm a bit late, but I wanted you to know that I own a dozen A.H. FOX Shotguns from Sterlingworth to D.E. Grade. Most are original with a few upgraded(Wood) ect. Hunting or Sporting Clays if it's misting or a light shower I prefer my Pre- WW-1 12 Ga. Sterlingworth which is all original with a cracked stock, but plate and forearm. It still knocks em down as well as all of the other grades original or not! I like your gun. Go and enjoy every minute with it!!! Brian

This is the small game gun I've always wanted.
It will go out often....lots of blue bird days in store for it.

This is one I want to become an heirloom gun for my son. He's a wood junkie too and he knows how "special" this one is for me.
