With this gun being 8 lbs with 32” full and full barrels would this point towards a trap gun. I never did get any feedback on the rarity of this configuration in a B. All feedback is welcome.

32 semi pistol grip 32inchers out of a total of 606, not rare but unusual.

Thank you for the information. So there were 606 B grades with 32” barrels and of these 32 had semi pistol grip, correct?

No 606 made all styles, 32 had 32" barrels with a semi pistol stock

A total of 606 12-gauge 4th generation, or Gough-style, B-/BE-Grades in all barrel lengths and grip styles. There were 32 with half-pistol grip and 32-inch barrels.

That is something we don't hear every day!!!

LOL I know, but only 2” of drop with my full face just doesn’t feel right.

I have just joined the forum and need some direction. My sister had our Dad's Fox 12 gauge and just gave it to my son and we are trying to track down any information that we can. We contacted the Cody Firearms Museum Records Office and unfortunately, the records for our firearm are not available. Is there another direction that I can go in? The serial number is 18234, it's made in Philadelphia with Krupps Fluid Steel. Rick thinks it is a B or BE. Thanks for any help or direction you can give us.

Welcome aboard. Someone smarter than me will know what it is, a few pictures would be nice. Does it have a “B” stamped on the water table?

We need to see several good pictures to really be able to tell you anything.

It is likely an A-Grade with 30-inch barrels. While the card is missing, serial number 18200 began a run of at least 60 30-inch barrel A-Grades (two AE-Grades, with automatic ejectors).
