Less letters to embroider on any items.

I will be hunting over our Fox Hollow Setters with Parkers and Lefevers though.

DarylC wrote:These cockleburrs out west look like miniature chestnut husks and are extremely tough to get out of a labs coat. One year a guy brought out an English setter and by the end of the day she looked like velcro with a tail. He ended up having to shave the poor thing.
Years ago at a field trial a lady handler told me to spray my English setter's ears, chest, sides and tail with PAM (the slick cooking spray stuff) before I put him in a field having burrs of any kind. I only used it about 4 times but it was like magic - few if any burrs stuck and those that did pulled right out by hand easily. Another tip she told me was if your dog got burrs and you were without spray, use a common plastic styling comb (the kind with a long pointy handle) and come from BEHIND or UNDER the burr and it spins right up and out. Kevin, I was told the same thing regarding PAM, but never had to use it.

Weighed the pups this evening. They all weigh between 54 and 65 ounces. Healthy beasts!! They also received their first deworming dose. 7 pups are spoken for. 30+ ounces last week. They are doing well!

Mike, when you get a chance post pics of the pups. Sounds like they are growing like weeds! As for the burrs a simpler solution than PAM spray is to use Show Sheen or Maine and Tail. These are both horse grooming products that are readily available and do a great job. Easily brushes/washes out as well!

This is the last pup. He is a sweet dog, great disposition. Not much of a difference between any in this litter though. All are thriving, over 6 lbs. Dewormed twice, shots coming 10/7, parents OFA certified and registered, litter will be registered, health guarantee for any genetic issues, pups can go to their new home 10/9-10/10.
We call him "Lots o' Spots"

The last puppy sold on Sunday! There were four potential buyers in line. All nine are going to new homes the end of next week. They are all right around nine lbs and growing like weeds!! My Mick is really developing some gorgeous tri-coloration. Onward and upward!!
