There will be a "South Dakota Flush" event set up on the 5-Stand/Games area just for fun. You can run 1 to 6 shooters at a time. No scoring, no trophies, just fun!! If you want to try a gun before you buy it, you can try it there, without shooting a Flush. If you don't get enough shotgun fun it's your own fault!!

Getting to Rock Mountain
Hey Mike,
I checked the Rock Mountain web site: http://www.rockmountainclays.com/direct ... d-map.html
for directions for getting to The Rock.
Myself and probably some others will be driving south on Interstate 81 from NY and exiting at Kirkwood/Conklin per the directions on the web site. But it has this advisory: "PLEASE BE ADVISED: ROUTE 29 NEAR THE NEW YORK STATE BORDER IS CLOSED FOR AN UNDETERMINED TIME. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY"
Do you know if Route 29 is closed and we can't get there that way? Or maybe it's just a typical construction zone that just takes a few minutes longer.
Your thoughts?
Thanks.

Re: Northern SxS Challenge and Expo @ Rock Mountain
Bill, I was on 29 driving north of Montrose about 2 weeks ago and there was some bridge construction about 5 miles north of town but I was able to get around it using dead reckoning on dirt roads west of the construction area. But I don't know about more construction north of that area and closer to the NY line. There were plenty of signs "road closed ahead". Coming from your home in western NY, I think an alternate is to get off 17 in NY at the Waverly (?) exit, drive to Towanda, thence to Wyalusing and use your GPS to find Springville and Rock Mtn. Give me a call if you need further directions. I'll be at the Rock today with sketchy cell coverage there in the valley, but should be available by cell this evening at home. Number is in the Members' directory. frank

Bill
you can go by 390 south (you could head south and pick it up below Naples)- then NY17/US86 east route and avoid that whole area
either get off at Waverly then take 220S to route 6 and follow the Towanda directions
or get off at Nichols and go over the hills if you have a GPS

Re: Northern SxS Challenge and Expo @ Rock Mountain
Thanks you guys.
Maybe I should bring along a couple peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for survival food in case I get lost somewhere in PA.
If I don't show up at The Rock by supper time Friday, send out the posse.
And please, if Toolman/Steve brings some of his wife's chocolate chip cookies like he did at Ernie's in June, please save one for me. They are REAL GOOD. That's a hint Steve.

All the results can be found on our Rock Mountain site and FB page. Pics are also on the FB page. I'll be posting some pics of Team Fox here this week. Thanks to everyone who came out and shot the events!! We drew over 100 individual shooters, had a bunch of re-entries and some non-shooters getting an eyeful of shotgun fun!! Congrats to all the winners of the awards and drawing/raffles. We'll be tweaking a few things for next year and will announce the dates after our post-shoot meeting this week. Stay tuned!!
