It makes you wonder. If I shoot one, I will let you know what kind of feet they have.

I went out twice this weekend and heard several gobblers each time. They locked up as soon as we got set up, so it will have to wait til next weekend.

I think one of the more interesting shells out there right now is the Winchester Long Beard in 2 3/4" with 1 1/4 oz of number 5 shot. One of the nice things about the long beard shell is they use a rolled crimp. Be interesting to see what the pressures are (which no body will probably ever know) because the load only cooks out at 1050 FPS. I think that would an interesting load to try out of full choked Fox.

Actually, the 2 3/4" Long Beard XR shotshell (product symbol STLB125) steps out at 1300 fps, not 1050 Fps, which would produce increased pressure compared to RST loads of 1 1/4 oz. Only the max shot load for the 3 1/2" (2 1/8 oz) & 3" (1 7/8 oz) shell clock at 1050 fps.

I had read somewhere it was the lower speed. Yes way too much for our guns. I have stayed with the RST. The Longbeard might be a helluva shell for a superfox, but too much for anything else.
