Looks to be a twin from the one I picked up a few days back and sent me the card on. Same type of history. In the family since 25 and purchased at the hardware store only a few miles from where it was located. The history makes them extra special. The best part will be taking a limit of game this fall with it and sending a photo to the family.

If you’re feeling guilty, we could move that 20 ga. from your closest to my closet and you would enjoy a pleasant 50% profit. :)

I added some finish and stain to fix the light spot caused by moisture under the slip on rubber recoil pad and match the color/finish of the forend. The barrels had some ugly pitting not deep but detracted from the gun, Breck Gorman is reblueing them after I polished them. Will make a nice little Fox 20ga hunting gun.

Wow! Nice job Craig. You can't tell the difference. Timberluxe?

Thanks for the positive comments. Daryl I do use Timberlux walnut stain, it is the best for duplicating Fox tone and color in my opinion. For this gun I use a matt spar varnish since it has great prosperities for a hunting gun, good in soaking conditions and flexible in cold to hot temperatures. I finish with a rub down with Brownell's triple F rubbing compound.

Great find! 26" small bores make great quail and upland guns
