The Southern 2026
Looks like it’s going to be a great weekend for the Southern. If you make it to North Carolina, please stop by the Fox Booth and say “Hi”. Rich, Mike and I shot a round at Drakes Landing to warm up.
Shoot vintage firearms, relax, and have fun.

Re: The Southern 2026
It’s always fun to sit in the Fox Booth and see what walks in. Quite often there’ll be a little something that I’ve never seen before. For instance: today a gentleman showed me his beautiful 20 ga. BE with factory swivels.
I also enjoyed seeing a rather interesting CE. The card stated “C” engraving on an XE frame. So, this C had rebates and the small lock screw. I hadn’t noticed those features on a C before.
I was really surprised when a guy walked in with a Fox and asked about the grade. He didn’t know what it was, but he had paid $200 dollars for it at an estate sale. Well, it was a rock solid SPE. Unfortunately someone had shortened the stock, and then added the wood back, but other than that, it was nice.
I wonder what we’ll see tomorrow?

The AHFCA owes a big “Thank you” to Kevin and Tom. They are the heart and soul of the Fox Booth and spend countless hours chatting with fellow SxS enthusiasts. Every event they are there, fielding questions and promoting our beloved Fox shot guns. Thanks guys.

Thank you to Tom and Kevin for their great work and devotion to the cause. And thank you Jeff for your post from the Southern. It is amazing how quite the Parker and Fox sites get this week, as most of the folks are down there enjoying the weather and comradery of the event. Your daily post help guys like me who can't get down there make it through. I just hope I can make it down there next year to see what it is all about.

Re: The Southern 2026
Jeff, some good reports and of course I wish I were there. Thank you. I always liked staffing and hanging out at the Fox booth while at the Southern in particular ..... the Fox gun rich environment, socializing, camaraderie, opportunity to move some guns, and often first dibs at good Foxes that walk in for sale. Great "compensation" for the time spent there. frank

Can't tell from the photo but how is Tom's leg doing? It looks like he still has both of them. And yes, Tom and Kevin do a great job of spreading the gospel.
