Foxes at the Rock

Post by DarylC »

I'd like to thank all shooters who chose to shoot a Fox at the recent Rock Mountain event. In case you didn't get the memo, here's what went on.

Fox/Parker challenge:

We had a solid team this year consisting of Mike Smith, Jeff Stegmeier, Shane Hoover, Mark Sassen and myself. When the dust settled we were tied with the Maidens of Meriden so we went into a miss and out shoot-off.
We ended up losing by one bird. Still, the boys from Philly held their own against some tough Parker shooters.

Manufacturer's Cup:

LC Smith won top honors but the good news is we bested Parker by a score of 80 to 73 and we did it with only 4 shooters and a heavy downpour. Please guys, if you sign up to shoot a Fox please let me personally know that you have to leave or cannot stay for the event.

Fox Big bore/ Small bore event:

Honors the this year were taken by Shane Hoover in the big bore and Mark Sassen in the small bore.

Thanks to everyone who participated.

My pleasure Jeff. Best job I've ever had and don't get paid for it.

Yes, very nice job Daryl.

By the way #1, look for a little extra in your paycheck this week. It probably won't be there, but look for it. :D

By the way #2, I shot your old girl friend today. The one I got from you a couple years ago - super high condition Philly Sterlingworth 20 with 28" barrels. I managed to break a few birds on a small bore clay's course set up by our good friend Craig L. Tough targets but hittable!
