Factory embellishment
Is it totally unheard of or can it be validated that say A grade guns were sent back to the factory for embellishment or even a Sterlingworth ?

Re: Factory embellishment
Well I suppose you could say any Fox but I can’t imagine someone sending a C grade or higher in to be re engraved .

Re: Factory embellishment
See The Double Gun Journal, Volume Four, Issue 3, for Sterlingworth 77502 upgraded to an XE-Grade; Volume Twenty-four, Issue 2, Joseph Kautzky's A-Grade upgraded to XE-Grade. Serial number 20175 letters as an A-Grade to Billy Gough that he upgraded a bit as his trap gun --
He also did a gun for his daughter.
Then there are guns that letter as A-Grades or Sterlingworths that went to Burt Becker like serial number 28000.

Re: Factory embellishment
Those were done at the Fox or Savage factory ? I’m
Asking if it’s documented any being sent back to the factory in Philly or Utica for added embellishment .
