Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
How about that victorious Team Lefever?? Team Lefever bested Team Fox 88-66 in the Fox-Lefever Challenge Shoot-Off. Team Lefever was (L to R) Brian Hornacek, Rick Ghenn, Mike Koneski, John Brownell and Tad Koneski (holding a future PGCA/LACA shooter, Rex). Congrats to all the Fox shooters who ground out a tough 5-Stand qualifier and shoot-off, especially Shane Hoover for shooting so well
. Thanks to Tool and Daryl for organizing the event.

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
Thanks for posting the results I was wondering how yesterday went.
Unfortunately, I could only attend Friday. I really enjoyed the targets this year in particular the 20 ga and 16 ga courses.
The 5 stand was great as well nothing over the top, everything was shootable, challenging but fair in my opinion.
I also enjoyed Baby Bo Whoop, I felt like I was shooting a short FITASC when I stepped in the hoop.
Thanks to Tom and Tom I ended my hunt for a heavy target A grade 12 so I can compete in yet another event next year.

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
Congrats to the Lefever shooting team. Well struck gents! I also sincerely thank all Fox members who did the qualification and those 5 who stepped up for our team. Tough competition again this year!
Regarding our Fox shooting team, I have a ~ 30 second iPhone video of our team in action at the 5-stand. I can message it to an AHFCA member who knows how to make that into a YouTube video (I don’t know how to do that) and who commits to post the link here within a day or so. If interested send me a PM with your cell number.
Please, I don’t want to be sending the video individually to members. It’s more efficient to send it just once to our YouTube gent or gal. Thanks for your understanding. frank

More
PS. First pic with Darryl showing folks where the low gun position needed to be. PS. The gun was not loaded at the time for sure.

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
Anyone know what was high gun on the events?
I know this is a fun shoot but I wished they used scorechaser or winscore or iclays. I’m not sure how much it costs but it’s nice to see the spread of scores.

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
I'm sure other folks will provide information on the other events as far as the scores go. I think (could be wrong) that the high gun during the qualification on the 5 stand for the Fox team was 23 and for the Lefever was 24. I'm basing that on what the puller told me when I asked him that question.brushbuster wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 7:55 pm Anyone know what was high gun on the events?

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
Tom, the Lefever scores in the qualifier were Brian Hornacek 24, Tad Koneski 20, Mike Koneski 20, Rick Ghenn 17 and John Brownell 13. I know in the shoot-off Brian shot a 23 and I shot a 21.vaturkey wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 7:13 amI'm sure other folks will provide information on the other events as far as the scores go. The Fox qualifier scores were Shane Hoover 23, Russ Burkett 15, Scott Jones 15, Jeff Stegmeier 14 and Kevin McCormack (score unknown). That's all I have for the Shoot-Off.

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
Most of the scoring programs cost $1.50/shooter for a multi-day event. Most shooters in the double-gun world do not want their scores posted online. The event results are always posted on the bulletin board in Ernie's registration building. Some of us take photos of the results.brushbuster wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 7:55 pm Anyone know what was high gun on the events?

Fun shoot or not, winning is always more fun than losing!! That goes for events on the course as well as any Challenge shoot-off formats.

Re: Fox/Lefever Challenge Results
Thanks Mike I figured it was a nominal fee to use them. Unfortunately, I could only play on Friday so I missed the shoot off and the main event so was curious who won the main. I’ll keep checking Earnie’s website.Mike of the Mountain wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 2:14 pmMost of the scoring programs cost $1.50/shooter for a multi-day event. I’m looking forward to getting “pulled out of my comfort zone” on the 50 bird FITASC at the PA state shoot!
