My brother Bill recently captured this photo with his trail cam. He has a Pheasant Forever project at his place.

Foxnut, We live in Idaho. There aren’t nearly the numbers of birds that there were in the 60’s but we do have a few. Pheasant Forever has done several projects near my brothers place. They have raised the pheasant numbers as well as providing winter habitat for deer. Ducks also come into my brothers field but mainly in the spring. He had a severe back injury and doesn’t hunt any more but loves to watch the wildlife.

He lives where there are neighbors about thirty acres apart. Too close for shooting for me. He get so much fun out of seeing them that I wouldn’t want to kill one. I know they get away from his place and are hunted. Good to have them available. I have a small number that frequent my bird feeder. I live on a couple of acres inside the city limits. No shooting allowed. They are more fun to watch. I hunt them in other places.
