Morning. Its a pre-Fox gun made by Phildelphia Arms which was the Pre-courser to Ansley H. Fox opening up his own business. Some information on the home page:

Looks like a nice condition gun. I think its a grade B.

That is a nice B-Grade Philadelphia Arms Co. FOX. How long are the barrels?

We now know a bit more about the demise and sale of Philadelphia Arms Co. than the November 29, 1906, comment in that history. That was the date of the magazine article announcing that the A.H. Fox Gun Co. had purchased the complete plant of Philadelphia Arms Co. Philadelphia Arms Co. went into receivership and was sold at a Sheriff's sale 3 July 1906.

Philadelphia Arms Co. was purchased at the Sheriff's sale by a Philadelphia lawyer, Mr. William MacGeorge Jr. On October 2, 1906, William McGeorge Jr. and his wife Mary Armadelle McGeorge sold the plant of Philadelphia Arms Co. to Ansley H. Fox, and he moved his fledgling A.H. Fox Gun Co. that had been operating a few blocks away at Wayne and Bristol Streets in.
