32" barrel weights

Post by mike campbell »

Can any of you gents with standard frame, stamped #1 or #2 12ga barrels post the weights?

I have a set of #2's that weigh 59.5 ounces. I'd like my next gun to have heavier barrels and I'd like to know what I can expect to find if I search diligently enough. Thanks in advance.

Mike,
Sterlingworth 32" #2 BBLS. = 60 oz.
CE 32" # 2 BBLS. = 62 oz.

Might have to look for a set of # 1 bbls.

Thanks, Paul!

Looks like it would be reasonable to find a gun with barrels 3-4 ounces heavier than mine. I could offset that with a heavy butt and have a gun 1/2 lb heavier than Big Ann...that's the hope.

Congrats on the good shooting at Addieville! I remember those "left over" Ruger All Around targets.

Thanks! Actually, mine and Jim's are pretty light #2's @ 60 oz. I thought I'd have to search for #1's but it's good to know there are #2's that are 3-4 oz heavier.
