With all the information/history lesson I have received on this gun. I'm still not 100 percent sure how to describe the gun?

Manual ejectors? (i know it does not shoot them out)

Well my second apprasial was 2,000. I'm not sure if they were low balling me cause they wanted to buy it or not. I oiled it up good and looking down the barrel I don't think the dang thing has ever been shot.

Thanks for all the responses, I"m going to try to get some sort of estimate of what this gun is worth. I"m thinking around 3 grand from what I have been seeing and reading, but I want to get an expert to look at it.

Do you suppose there are places, ie gun shops etc. that would give me a written appraisal. Sort of like having a piece of jewlery appraised?

I think I will get with John Callahan for the letter. It would be nice to see if it did go directly to my grand father. The attic was my grand mothers and we were clearing it out after she passed. Funny thing is my brother handed it over to me and said here you want this old shotgun...haha I really ...

I really was not sure where I should stop, but once I got the gun out its pretty obvious where the barrel stops...its 30 inches.

When I measure the barrel length where do I stop? Sorry I really don't know alot about guns. It is pretty long.

Yipee I'm out of the closet and in the attic LOL.

If there are other picture angles you all think would be good let me know.
One thing is I have never touched it with my hands always use gloves. I'm afraid oil from my hands would mess it up. i need to get a better case for it.

I included some pics of the original case it came in. I need advice, what should I do to keep this gun in good shape. should I oil it?? I just don't know. I was thinking of taking it to a local gun dealer and asking them to give it the "once over". I really don't think it has ever been sho...

Can someone tell me how to post pics..I have around 7 closeups of the gun. do i do it here with the Img command? or someway else.
