Took it shooting yesterday. Worked just great. I fired a box of shells and used both barrels. Definitely felt better using the front trigger, the rear felt a bit cramped, but that can be addressed with more practice. Fun old gun!

Thanks. Since my example (buttstock) was sanded flat, that settles it. I am just going to go with a quality recoil pad. At least the stock wasn't shortened thank goodness.

Can't have everything in life!

There was zero rust anywhere on the gun. So thankful that someone/family took care of this cool shotgun throughout it's life so far.

As a collector, I have mastered the "Just walk away", and this one had me feeling good right off the bat.

Someone replaced the factory plastic buttplate with a recoil pad (not correct). Sterlingworth 12G serial 1062XX Philly made. The dimensions on my uncut (14.0" LOP minus pad) stock have a screw spacing of 2 7/8". I cannot find a reproduction that has this spacing that also correlates to the...

Test pic. Someone got into in before, who knows when. It's super clean internally. I know that anyone getting into is at least 30 years prior at a minimum (that's how long since it was handled).
