Supers are a joy to hunt with. Congrats!

No problem gentleman. I hope everyone has enjoyable hunts and am also somewhat jealous being in this sweltering heat in the South!

Love that English stock. Congrats!

Can someone verify that my membership dues went through yesterday? Paypal kind of went squirrely on me at the end. I noticed I still don't have access to the members only section so I wanted to make sure.

I definitely want to experiment with some different shot sizes in the future. I have just always loved lead 4s or 5s in my other turkey guns, but those are of the more modern variety. I have quite a few Remington SPs that are my go to turkey guns and I shoot hevi-13 7s now days in those with great r...

Apparently, they offer 3 different varieties of the super pheasant. 1 is the standard load, 1300 fps etc. 2. is the high velocity which is 1450 like you had mentioned and 3. is the diamond grade, which is 1300 fps but is supposedly a harder and more precision sorted shot. They say high antimony lead...

Thanks for sharing your findings. One question, are you concerned about the pressure in those loads? Or do you feel pressure is less of a concern in the Super? Great information and good luck out there.🤠 Pressure has nothing to do with it. All US factory loads were loaded to acceptable pressure lev...

That Winchester load is what I would shoot all day every day out of a Soper Fox. Reality is you might shoot 2 or 3 shots a year out of that Super at a turkey. Think I would shoot the other barrel and see what your pattern is also. My last turkey kills with my Fox was 11 yards away. It might be nice...

No problem! They have some kick to them but I would say it was comparable to the Remingtons and the Kent Bismuths I shot this past waterfowl season.

Since spring turkey season is less than a month away here, I decided to go ahead and try some loads in my Super. I shot three different loads: 1. Federal game load - 2 3/4" 1 1/8 oz of #4s 2. Remington XLR - 2 3/4" 1 1/4 oz of #5s 3. Winchester Super Pheasant - 2 3/4" 1 3/8 oz of copp...

I wound up purchasing a case of the Kent Bismuth 2 3/4" #5s. They performed very well.

My best buddy from college invited me to come with him to Kansas this weekend and chase some ducks. The weather was going to be frigid, but he has hunted the area before during this time of year and had some luck. The plan was to hunt around some big reservoirs and catch the birds coming back to loa...

Thank y'all for the responses. I'll get a couple different brands and see how they shake out. If I can remember, I'll take some pics and post the results.

Hello all, First off, I am a die-hard turkey hunter. However, I have never killed a bird with a vintage gun, besides my 90s model remingtons :D . My Super is a 2 3/4" gun and I want to pattern it with several different loads to see what will work best. I see several companies make 2 3/4" l...
